The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is suitable if you are new to the sector, considering a career change, returning to education or hoping to progress to further study.
You will explore the responsibilities of adult social care workers and the values that underpin high-quality care. These include dignity, respect, independence, safeguarding and person-centred support.
The course will also introduce you to communication, equality and inclusion, duty of care, health and safety, professional development and the safe handling of information.
This is a knowledge-based qualification, so you do not need to be employed in adult social care or complete a work placement.

Your work will be assessed by your tutor or assessor and quality assured in line with NCFE requirements.
You must successfully complete all nine mandatory units.
There is no required work placement, as this is a knowledge-based qualification.
